Help with Gaim connection to MSN
 
check the screen shot... I Don't know if I filled the right spots... but it's not connecting :S
Help ASAP if you can offcourse :)

can you explain the Back to front thing?

1. Try your hotmail account under screen name using whater type of account you have (msn or hotmail):

youraccountname@hotmail.com

or

youraccountname@msn.com

2. Enter your password

3. Forget the alias

4. Try to log in

Well, what you wrote in screenname goes in alias or you can just forget about it and what you put in alias - your hotmail address goes in 'screenname'.

PS I would have explained a bit better in my first post but you rushed me

Great... Thanks... but that means I cannot use any screen name then? :S

I guess they should change the screen name title to "Username" title... I'd suggest that to them...

My post was aimed at just helping you to get in. Once connected, it's easy to mess around with the screen name and play with the configuration. Were you able to connect yet?
