Help with Gaim's AutoProfile Plugin
 

I just got the new Gaim (0.18) and tried to install the AutoProfile plugin ( 2.07)..but it didn't work.. here's what I did .. :
1.installed Gaim
2.extracted the autoprofile (tar.gz) into the plugin section of the Gaim surce
3.did a ./configure on the Gaim source (it didn't recognize autoprofile as a plugin..at least i think not.. it wasn't listed when the ./configure parsed the plugin section)
4.did a 'make' in the autoprofile folder (located in the plugin section of the Gaim source)
5.copied the autoprofile.so into the .gaim folder
now.. where did I go wrong ?:D ..or is there any incompatibility betweenthe versions?

gaim .81 and autoprofile 2.07 dont work together. ive noticed this as well. im back to using gaim .80
