Help with Esetroot

I am running RH 7.1 and seem to be having problems loading a background image with Esetroot. I run Esetroot /home/user/misc/bg.jpg ... and it returns the error: Esetroot: Unable to load the image file '/home/user/misc.bg.jpg. I've tried playing with permissions on the file. I am basically just trying to set a bg image in blackbox. Thanks for anyhelp anyone can offer...

well Esertroot is presumably for enlightenment, and should really be used. use the proper program: bsetbg. this does actually use esetroot if it finds it, but would probably prefer to use xsetbg or qiv for example.

Thanks for the quick reply! Well I used xsetbg to set the background image (using blackbox as window manager) and then ran Eterm -O to see if transperancies . Eterm returns the error message to that it is 'unable locate the desktop window' and to set the background with Esetroot. I try running Esetroot but Esetroot always returns the error that it is unable to load the image file (which I was able to load using xsetbg). Any ideas anyone? :(
