Help with dvdbackup

I am trying to copy a dvd with dvdbackup-0.1.1. I have been using the -F switch to copy the main feature. It copies a few VTS_XX files but the VIDEO_TS.IFO/BUF files are always skipped. I believe that I need these files to create an iso image with mkisofs. Is that true and if not how do I proceed to complete a usable burn. I plan to use mkisofs and growisofs. Can anyone get me back on the right track?
