Help with Dial up, internet connection
 
I have finally set up my install of red hat 8, with mozilla web browser, my question is : how do I make it dial up???:confused:

I have configured the modem and everything seems to be OK, do I need another proggy to get to dial up to my ISP?..I havent found anything in mozilla to make it dial up a number....HEEEEELP!

You have KPPP - a dialer program in Red Hat Linux, one similar to Dial-up Networking in Windows.

you'll need to set up your connection at 2 places..

1. Main Menu -> System Settings - > Internet Configuration wizard and

2. Main Menu - > Internet -> KPPP -> setup

This is with regard to RH 9...the location may be different for RH 8.0..so pls check that out...

Now just enter all data related to your ISP just the way you do it in Windows...and use KPPP to dial in to your ISP..
