Help With Debian

I thought I found it. Progeny linux. Built off debian but with a graphical install. Unfortunately it doesn't work under my Linksys LNE 10/100 ethernet card.

I would like to just use the mainstream debian but... in the install it wants me to select kernel modules.

I don't know what modules I need loaded for my system to be fully functional (internet, monitor, usb mouse, sb live, cd-rw.. etc)

Theres tons of modules to choose from but they say little about what they are or what they're purpose is.

Can someone help explain this?

well, you can either do some google searching....

or try running KNOPPIX or MORPHIX (liveCDs). It will autodetect your hardware.

Once its up and running, run "lsmod" and it will list all the modules you are using.
