help! URL-click in Evolution spawning ENDLESS Konqueror windows

hi all,

i've installed my 1st SuSE 9.1 distro.

updated to latest updates & supplementary for KDE, X & Misc. now running KDE 3.3.

i've set up:

Ximian Evolution 1.4 as my preferred mailer
KDE Konqueror (from 3.3) as my preferred Browser

in both Gnome & KDE Control Centers (is it me, or do Gnome & KDE apps *not* communicate this info to one antoher?)

if I open an email in Evolution and click on a message URL (http), Konqueror is launched as expected, but it just keeps spawning new, empty windows.

I *suspect* this has something to do with the command i launch the preferred browser with ('konqueror', in my case) missing some parameters .... or its a bug.

Any help/pointers from anyone would be much appreciated!

thx,

richard
