Help Upgrading to KDE 3.1.2
Is there an easy way to upgrade?
I know that I can use apt. But when I did I got a modified version than what KDE put out. How can I let each package know where the files they are dependant upon is at? Is there a certain Order that things should be installed? Thanks for your assist. If there is a way to create an install disk please let me know. Thanks Voyager  |
If you want to build it from source (a daunting task), you can get a program called Konstrcut (http://konsole.kde.org/konstruct/) to help you.
It will download the and compile the source for you. |

Will this allow me to burn the contents to a CD-R so that I can easily install at any time? What I ultimately want to do is to be able to insert my CD and install from there. I know there is a way to do it otherwise the installs would work for RedHat, SuSe etc. Thanks for the assit though...I will check this out. Voyager  |
