Help setting up MythTV to record from a VCR on Composite Input

Hi, I have successfully set up MythTV on Ubuntu but now I would like to record some old VHS tapes and burn them to DVD.

I can switch inputs and watch the movie as it plays from the VCR, but MythTV never records the entire thing. How do I record the entire movie? Is there a way to start and stop the recording manually in MythTV. If I hit "R", mythtv tells me I am recording, but it says it is recording the channel the TV tuner is set to...not the VCR input. It seems to stop recording after the scheduled show is over rather than continuing for the entire movie.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Matti
