help setting up mailserver

Hi,

I am running redhat 9.0
basically i want a server so i can mail stuff to it.
the server is at home [just for playing around]
so no domain ...
i would like my email to be like
USERNAME@MYIP

i am also behind a router, so i need to know what ports to forward.
[I forwarded 25 and 110]

I tried to read many guides.. but i got confused and lost.

Please recommend to me the programs i need for this.

Also a brief tutorial or link would be appreciated

I want to read the mail through console.. that would be fine.

Is it even possible to have my email be ilya@myip ?

I just succesfully sent email from my machine.

But i cant get it to receive mail.

Any help?

I am using sendmail btw.

I used these notes:

http://www.justlinux.com/forum/attac...&postid=672574

Thanks again.
