Exclamation Help! Problem installing WeeChat on Centos4 ia64.

Hey all,

I am trying to install WeeChat on my Hp server that has Centos4 on it with 2 ia64 processors. I can do a ./configure just fine, but when i try to run make, i get this.

weechat-python.c: In function `weechat_python_dict_to_hashtable':
weechat-python.c:187: error: `Py_ssize_t' undeclared (first use in this function)
weechat-python.c:187: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
weechat-python.c:187: error: for each function it appears in.)
weechat-python.c:187: error: syntax error before "pos"
weechat-python.c:198: error: `pos' undeclared (first use in this function)
make[5]: *** [weechat-python.lo] Error 1
make[5]: Leaving directory `/home/alecm/weechat-0.3.6/src/plugins/scripts/python'
make[4]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory `/home/alecm/weechat-0.3.6/src/plugins/scripts'
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/alecm/weechat-0.3.6/src/plugins'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/alecm/weechat-0.3.6/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/alecm/weechat-0.3.6'
make: *** [all] Error 2

These are just the error lines of the make, as i dont want to clutter the whole page with the whole process. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks!

Downloading the source as we speak to I can compile and take a look for you, will report back soon. I think it is an error on your side, but I just want to have a look at it before hand. Can you let me know what version of python you have installed? Run the following:
Code:
python --version
Most likely, you just need to install python-devel from your package manager.

Cheers,

Josh
