I posted this b4 and no one manged to help me and after an extensive search i came up with nothing please hlep me!!!!

ok i have fedora installed and networked with a windowsXp machine. samba works because i can see his shares ane he can see mine. The windows xp machine has a printer which i want to print to from fedora... the printer is shared and i have another user created so i can log in to. Ok this is what i did:

i used the redhat config tool and created a smb printer:

workgroup: workgroup
server: \\SERVER
share: \\SERVER\1210
user: user
password: pass

it created the printer but it wont print to it nothing happens no errors nothing

help please

When I used RH I printed via CUPS. Put http://localhost:631 and go through the menus of adding a smb: printer.

Least it worked for me.

thanx for the reply ... i tried that and it gave me an error after i set up the printer :
"Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED"
also i did not see a location to enter a user and password also i could not select a specific dirver for my hppsc1210 .... also something weird is going on the xp machine slows down when i try to print but nothing prints and it stays slow even after i cancel the print job and restart the machine
