help please with suse installation


hello room!
can anyone please tell me why I have installed staroffice as root and everything goes very well. after the installation, I use it as root, but when I login as a user; I do not see it. how can I set permission for the user to share staroffice application.
I am using suse server9.

what do you mean by:

Is it not in the kmenu or there isn't a link to the desktop.
try running it from the command prompt instead (determine the command from the root user's shortcut).

I am not sure if this is the same in StarOffice, but OpenOffice has a couple of scripts/links to scripts installed in the users homedirectory. Isn't there a setup script that you can run as a user? I guess this would create the desired links.

If its staroffice 7 and below, then it installs for just a single user. Check the instructions available on this website for instructions on how to install it properly for multi users.
