help on red hat 7.2 and Mandrake 8.2
 

i try to install red hat 7.2
but it stops at
kernel panic attempted to kill init!

and on Mandrake 8.2
it stop at
kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 01:03

Someone please help me

Hi,

Might be bad burns if you made your own cds'. Or I've seen flakey ram cause those errors also. Might want to try and swap your ram with known good stuff if you can.
