Help on installing Xfree86 or XLib
 
Hello there guys, is there a good guide on where to download the Xfree86 or XLib, and how to configure and install it on my Ubuntu machine ( newest version )

and the apt-get cannot find it even after i update and upgrade it

What do you want to do?
Ubuntu comes with X installed - so it must be something not obvious to me.
Which version of Ubuntu BTW?

Most Linux distros use X.org's version called xorg. Try searching for xorg or xserver-xorg.

The GUI frontend to "apt-get" is "synaptics", the package management tool in Ubuntu
(panel --> from the "System" tab I think).
It will be a lot friendlier to you than commandline "apt-get".
...I guess...
