Help on chkconfig

I have some chkconfig issues. Been reading a bit about it and thought I had it all figured out.

1. I have written a stratscript in /rc.d/ini.d/ for smbd and adsl since these are the services I would like to start as services when i boot my machine.

2. I have added these scripts to chkconfig
(did use the following tutorial for 1, and 2)

3. When I boot up my LINUX Redhat 7.1 I get the following:

Starting SMB services: [OK]
Starting NMB services: [FAILED]
Starting ADSL services: [OK]
4. When I check status on the ads script it says that the service is not up and running since a PID file could not be read. I have to start it upp manually, then it works. Also it seams that every time I start my smb /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb script two nmbd processes PIDs are created? When i stop the smb script all PIDs are killed so maybe every smbd is supposed to have two matching nmbd PIDs who knows?

Thus I have two problems

ONE: How do i get the NMB/SMB service to startup and shutdown properly when i boot my linux box...Check the link above to see the smb script I am using.

TWO How do i start my adsl (rp-pppoe) connection via services. I can call my adsl start script from rc.local but I rather start adsl as a service.

Well my post got rather messy but i hope you understand and can give me some useful pointers on how to solve this
