Help: on Apache Extension tool (APXS)

Can anyone please help me on installing Apache Extension tool (APXS) to generate in Apache (for Linux - Fedora)?

My problem is, I am NOT able to even fully download all the related stuff of APXS for Linux.

Specifically, it throws an error like the below.

“error: Failed dependencies: perl-base is needed by apache-apxs-2.2.4-1.i386”.

So, I need to have right perl-base version downloaded which I am not able to find from the net .

How to download/install the APXS comletely/properly so that it will not have the above problem.

Which distribution are you using ? apxs tool is a part of the httpd-devel RPM. If you're using CentOS/Redhat then you can download and install this RPM using the below given command,

yum install httpd-devel
