Help! Nero Linux does not recognize CD!

Hi. I am having a problem with Nero Linux. My father made a .nrg image file in Windows in another PC, and uploaded it to a server where I downloaded it into my Linux box. I open Nero Linux (I deactivate Magic Dev and anything that may screw up with the CD recording process), and select Burn Image and look for the file. When i double click and it is about to start recording it suddenly stops and gives me an error to put a new and blank CD. It says the disc isnt writable. The CD is new, but I still put another one and it keeps saying the error and I cannot burn the image. Any help? The Nero FAQ and Manual arent of much help.

Any chance your dad can make you an .iso file? Then you could use K3b.

Have you Googled on this?

Yeah I googled it. No help. I've checked everywhere and still nothing. One question, he has the compilation saved in his Windows PC, can he turn the nrg image into an ISO one so I can burn it in k3b?

nrg2iso: Nero nrg to ISO

Quote:
Abstract
Nrg2Iso is a linux utils for converting CD (or DVD) image generated by Nero Burning Rom to ISO format.
Nrg2Iso is probably what you need. There seem to be links there to:
  • Source
  • RPM and SRPM for Suse 9.0
  • Win32 binaries
Furthermore,
Code:
# apt-get -s install nrg2iso
on SimplyMEPIS 3.3 shows there is a .deb out there, too.

There is a GUI wrapper also: nrg2iso.app

I found these by Linux Googling:
"nrg image +into ISO"
nrg +into ISO
nrg2iso

Linux.com's Linux CD/DVD Recording looks like a good reference.
