Help me with installing programs and other applications. How to do that?
 

Hi. I have recently installed Linux Mandrake 9.1. I have 2 questions: Are there any games for Linux, I never heard for any of them. And second one is how to onstall applications,
or games. Every time I click on somethin like setup exe, it asks with which application should I open this program. Can anyone help to total newbie?:confused:

It is very rare that you would find a Linux app with a "setup.exe" file. Linux is a different OS than that one that uses .exe thingies...

You need to get packages (programs) that have an RPM extension, click on an RPM file, and your Redhat package manager will tell you what to do from there.

I did that and nothing hapend. It just said wich version of redhat that is, and thats it.
Unless if I did something wrong.
