Why do you install FC4 ? If FC5 is the current standard stable version? And FC6 is already in Test3 state?
But how ever. I would recommend you to install Firefox using yum.
For this visit and get known with yum.
In FC4 yum is already included but doesn't have enough repos.
So insert some explained by dag.
then as root from the command line
yum install yumex
Yumex is a GUI software update tool that clears the most dependecies problems.
After yumex is installed you can make your choice and select firefox to update.
Thats it.

I'd recommend doing a multi step upgrade to FC5.

1. open up a terminal window and issue this command yum update

2.after the yum update command has competed issue this command yum install apt

3. then run a apt-get update

4. after the apt sources list is updated issue the apt-get dist-upgrade

5. Reboot your system and you have successfully upgraded to FC5.
