Help: Kdevelop problem (Debian)

Hi

I am experiencing problems with Kdevelop. The error message generated
when creating a simple hello world KDE application is :

*** Creating configure
autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status:139
make[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2

When I ran the configure script in the project directory using the
Konsole, the error message I received is relating the QT libraries not
being able to be found.

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.1.0) (library qt-mt)
not found. Please check your installation!

Any help will be useful.

Cheers
Paul (a debian newbie)

You need to do
apt-get install libqt3-mt-dev
or better
apt-get install libqt4-dev

I have enter libqt3 but it seem to indicate the package has been installed. when I tried it with libqt4-dev, the package is not available.

You should put your debian release (sarge?) in your profile so that people don't tell you to dl things from unstable.

So you installed libqt3-dev ?
And it works?
Or?

Be sure to download the -dev package!

I am using the debian distributed wth colinux. I presume it is woody 3.0.

I have installed lib3t-mt-dev but still giving the errors as described in the first post.

Sort out the Qt problem by installing libqt-perl but getting the error message indicating that no KDE headers installed.

Sorted the KDE headers problem. just using an old automake 1.4 but still have the following problem:

autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status:139
