Help installing Mandrake 10.0 Community Edition
 

I am attempting to install this OS on an external USB hard drive on my HP laptop, but it keeps getting stuck during install and then goes to a screen that says Welcome to Mandrake Linux and at the bottom it says that hit: "Alt F1 for here", "Alt F3 to see logs" and " Alt F4 to see kernel msg". After I attempt to select one of these the installation just stalls, I think that my DVD drive just stops working once it hits this screen, if anybody knows how I could figure this out to install this OS please let me know...thanks
