HELP!! Installing Fendora!!!
 

Okay here goes,

I'm trying to install Fendora as a dual boot with Windows XP Pro. When I hit enter it begins the the installation but then hangs at:

apm: BIOS version 1.2 Flags 0x03 (Driver version 1.16)

My hardware:

Compaq Armada M700 (500Mhz)
448MB RAM

I have two of these laptops (exact same) and had no issues installing Fendora as a dual boot with Windows 2000 Pro.


I have tried:

# linux noprobe
# linux mem=448M

I have also updated the BIOs and made changes like disabling the legacy USB (suggested on another forum), still I get the same hang. Please help me, Redhat 9.0 worked great as a dual boot with Windows XP Pro on this machine.

Yes - Have tried Linux text, still no go!
