Help! Gaim and Yahoo
 

Hi to all! I need some help with Gaim instant-messaging software. I have the latest version of gaim(1.3.1) installed on my Suse 9.3 (rpm found via rpm.pbone.net) but I have serious problems when I try to transfer files with my yahoo! account, both sending and downloading them. When someone sends me a file and I accept, the transfer dialog box opens but the download never begins! I also tried previous version, also the one on Suse CD; or should I set something in Preferences?

i have faced these kinds of problem due to firewalls
are u using a firewall??

No, the only firewall on my system in SuSE Firewall, but I have configured it from Yast not to activate with boot. So now the firewall is disabled and should not interfere with Gaim.
