help:develop an appn for real time streaming of music on mobile via bluetooth

i am doing a project to develop a linux based software. It consists of a bluetooth enabled server computer storing some songs and bluetooth enabled mobile devices as the clients. The clients can access the songs from the server in their mobile. They can select the track they want and the application aims for real time streaming of the song on the mobile(i.e they can hear the song in real time). The communications b/w moblie and system is to be developed in c and the application in the mobile is to be developed in python.can anyone give me an idea on where to start and how to develop it.Also it would be great if u could suggest some related books as i am a complete newbie to linux.
