HELP !! Can't emerge gnome !!
 

OK I have been installing gentoo 2004.3 on my system and have had no problems up to this point... I got X successfully installed, and have already modified my (rc.conf) file accordingly. however when i try to:

emerge gnome xscreensaver

It fails because linux-headers-2.4.6 (i think) is blocking. I believe my kernel version is the latest (?) 2.6.10. Sorry I am a total n00b trying to migrate from Windows... I resisted the urge to go Fedora or the "pre-built" distros per se cuz I have a very knowledgeable linux buddy nearby (though he's been busy lately) and I believe the best way to learn is from the ground up... obviously Gentoo isn't completely from the ground up but I feel like the installation process will make me much more familiar with how Linux works.

Thanks for your help! If you need more info I will be more exact with the output but AFAIK linux-headers is the only thing blocking.
