Help

Ok i'm becoming desperate. Does anybody know of any software or anything built into linux so when i am using it as a router all traffic that gets passed through it to the other computer will have say a banner ad or pop-under or pop-up attached to the page that was requested.

Thanks.

Hi antideliguy,

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean you want a mcahine on your network to intercept web connections coming out from your network and add a pop under / banner? If this is the case, you could look at squid web proxy http://www.squid-cache.org I'm sure there would be a way to add in a banner while using squid as a transparent proxy.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

I've just come across another proxy that seems to be a bit easier to configure for this

www.privoxy.org

It's desgined to *block* banners etc, but you should be able to alter it.
