Is there any software available for linux that will take a 5.1 source (e.g. DVD soundtrack) and process it into a 2 channel mix that will simulate the original surround sound through headphones?
I am not looking for something with a bogus "3D effect" but something like a software version of the Dolby headphone surround sound hardware.
