I'm trying to make my webserver-cum-fileserver in my house into a torrenting box, too.

Idea basically consists of a php page into which you give the URL of the torrent file, and the computer downloads it to a pre-specified folder.

Problem is, I can't find any torrent apps that look like they'll let me do this. I've been pointed at BitTorrent-Curses before, but I can't find any copies of it.

Needs to work on a Ubuntu machine, x86. Ideally using as few resources as possible.


The PHP side I should be able to do myself, this is part of a learning excercise...

I can't find it in that list. That's the app I was looking for, but can't seem to get hold of.

Its not a single file to fetch but part of one of them bittorrent* packages overthere.
