HDD mirroring between 2 PCs

Hi,

I have 2 identical PCs (Processor, RAM, HDD etc) having FC9.

I would like to do online mirroring of HDD of PC1 into PC2 (ie. without shutting down the PCs).

What will happen to unique values like IP address / Host name / MAC Address etc

Has anyone does this before?
What are my options ?

Pls help.

Thx
Vai

Hi vaibhavs,

Depending on your needs, there is linux-ha, meaning "High Availability". I didn't installed anyone but I already saw one and the guy who installed it told me it was not so hard to do it.

Osvaldo.

I would like to get someone to do HA on commercial basis (provided its not very costly affair).

I would suggest you to look for any LUG (Linux Users Group) or Linux shop on your area because someone needs to do personal contact to install and configure such system.

You also could get more precise info through ContactUs on Linux-ha.org.
