HD logical copy
 

Hi all,

I am a new entry here at LinuxQuestions.org ,

I have an installation with Suse 10.0 and
I'm looking to clone/duplicate hard disk .
Excluding dd command ;
there is a filesystem which is able to do a fast logical copy ?

In the past I used xfsdump|xfsrestore but seems xfs haven't developed
these feature under linux distro.

I guess that the easiest way to make a copy of the whole HDD is to make an iso image. You can use mkisofs to achieve that and have an ISO9660 file that you can burn into a DVD or mount it with mount -o loop
