Having Trouble Understanding/Configuring Wine

I am attempting to install WINE on Mandrake v10. I successfully downloaded and installed the RPM. Now where do I go from there? I'm am not technically savy and therefore I have trouble understanding the WINE users manual. I have no idea what to do next . I tried just slipping in an installation disc for one of my games, but nothing happens, and when I click install.exe it asks me what I want to use. Could anyone give me some assistance?

Okay, I found the .wine and the drive C folder. That means the installation was succesfull. Now what? Do I have to configure WINE? Does it do it automatically? And how do I run .exe commands?

What if I want to install something from the CD? Can you be a bit more specific. I really don't understand what's going on.

Okay, I tried installing a program. I logged into the shell as superuser and changed the directory to /mnt/cdrom. Then I type wine setup.exe and I got the following:

Warning: the specified Windows directory L "c:\\windows" is not available
Warning: the specified System directory L"c:\\windows\\system" is not accessible
Warning: could not find DOS drive for current working directory '/mnt/cdrom', starting in the Windows directory
wine: cannot open (null)

Do I need to add files somewhere, folders? Anybody? In simple laymans terms please? 'Cause I don't understand the technical talk.
