Having problems accessing MSN Messenger through Kopete

Recently I have not been able to get on to MSN Messenger through Kopete. Has Microsoft changed their system so that only MSN Messenger can logon? Has anyone had this problem?

i use gaim and works fine in that

yes it seems MSN has changed something sometime in May. Kopete returns the error "incorrect password" or something like that.
Just go to Kopete's website and you'll see how to sort it out. Gaim does seem fine as pointed out by anandt4u so why not use that and save the trouble. Alternatively, switch to Yahoo or any other program as it's only Microsoft who cause these probs'.

I just downloaded 0.10.1 and I am trying to compile the source code to install it. I got this error

make[3]: Entering directory `/home/paul/kopete-0.10.1/doc/fr'
/opt/kde3/bin/meinproc --check --cache index.cache.bz2 ./index.docbook
index.docbook:101: parser error : Entity 'traducteurPatricePawlak' not def

I am not sure how to fix this. I've installed all development packages of what I have on my system and what is on the Kopete site. I would like to get this to work. Has anyone had this problem before and how did you fix it? By the way The OS that I am using is SuSe 9.2
