Which client did you install? Also, is there any particular reason you're using a really old distro instead of something newer?

cheenaik 06-01-2006 12:15 AM

I am using red hat linux 8.0...erm..im using it coz i bought it last time....never use it......so install it...i i didnt make myself familiar with the new os....

You bought Red Hat 8.0?? :/

Back to your problem, I'll ask again: which BitTorrent client did you install?

cheenaik 06-01-2006 01:06 AM

it's shown there bittorent-stable only...no other....

Nylex 06-01-2006 01:44 AM

Have you tried just running the executable "bittorrent"?

cheenaik 06-01-2006 02:01 AM

u meant?...sorry if i annoyed u..coz i aint no computer geek...im a dummy

Nylex 06-01-2006 02:02 AM

Try to run "bittorrent". Edit: run it in a terminal window, without the quotes. What happens? You don't need to be a geek :/.

cheenaik 06-01-2006 02:07 AM

u meant open the terminal window and type bittorent directly?

Nylex 06-01-2006 02:10 AM

Yes,exactly. You may need to run it followed by the torrent filename.

cheenaik 06-01-2006 02:30 AM

command not found?

Nylex 06-01-2006 02:35 AM

Try "updatedb && locate bittorrent" as root, just to see if those files are there.

cheenaik 06-01-2006 02:53 AM

...erm...why it cant run a program just as window is

Nylex 06-01-2006 02:53 AM

What? The executable may not be in your $PATH. You may also want to consider a newer distro.

cheenaik 06-01-2006 02:56 AM

need to type so many commands.....it shown command not found too
