AFAIK: I'm not in favour of acronyms in general but you see it regularly here. In my case I just started helping zero reply threads and "as far as I know" means that I might have missed something (that a senior member might be able to add)
With a strong password, it should be reasonably secure, obviously nothing is impregnable. The following are only my opinions and not in any way a criticism of the application or its developers.
some W$ boxes can be bruteforce cracked because eg one XP system is similar to another, and I fear the same might apply to a system using KDE/kwallet. If you can put your key info in a place that's individual to you that I think is more secure.
Also- if your login for, say, Easyjet, is hacked, that isn't as serious as bank account info. There are some things that should be memorized and not recorded.
ON a positive note, if your kit is stolen, the chance of the thief being or knowing a Unix wizard is remote. And hacking of individual linux systems is (reputedly) rare.
