have centos and windows nfts on computer want to shrink ntfs


hmm any program that can do this from within centos? if not I have read bout q or qt parted are those what I should be using? thanks.

yea gparted i have used with success in the past. it is really easy to use and you can install it with yum

I got it and it gave an option to delete the ntfs but not to resize. am I doing something wrong? the ntfs is unmounted.

You need partition magic. You will not be able to resize a ntfs partition within linux. Reboot into a partition magic boot cd and resize the ntfs partition. It is a commercial app but I am sure that you can find it on the net.
