Smile have added a routing path for a different network but samba share can't be accessed..

Hi,
I have got 192.168.0.0 network on one of my pc's and on the other one, it is 192.168.1.0. And these two are connected with router. I have added a route path by using 192.168.1.0 on my 192.168.0.0 network's PC by using "route add net 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 dev eth0". After doing this, i can ping to 192.168.1.x station but the problem arises when i try to see a samba share from the very same PC, it's unable to show it. Except pinging i just can't access other services as well..... Any suggestions........

Thank you

Going to need some more information.

Does it work if they are on the same subnet? What kind of router? Is there a firewall on the client, router, or server? What operating systems?

How are you trying to connect to the share, and what error messages do you get?
