If so, please let me know!

Thanks in advance!

Yes with the bttv module it looks like you have several flavors of card supported you may want to do a grep -i bttv /boot/config-2.?.?? of your kernel config wherever it is to see if you have the module built. Then if you have the module try modprobe bttv and see if loads properly.

Code:
[HappyTux:/home/stephen]# grep -i haupp /usr/src/linux-2.6.8/Documentation/video4linux/CARDLIST.bttv
card=2 - Hauppauge (bt848)
card=10 - Hauppauge (bt878)
card=26 - Hauppauge WinCam newer (bt878)
card=80 - Hauppauge WinTV PVR

There are different card so it's best to check what card you have.
You can see that on the card itself . There should be an large chip with the name of the decoder on it.
The older one's are based on the bttv chip so you'll have to use the bttv driver
The newer one's have the connectan 2388x (also known as cx88xx or 881 chip)
then you'll have to use the cx88xx driver
Most distributions have these kernel modules standardly compiled.
