Hauggpage WinTV Nova-T-USB2, FC5 64bit
 

I know this card is compatable with Linux but can't get it to work... Has anybody else had problems with this TV card?

I don't even know where to start.

Trouble is same as hundreds of out there are experiencing problems as it will work on win xp or 2000 but hauppage won't release the source for the latest connexant chips $$$. Even to people that are not in it for a profit. It is called a win-tv nova and not a lin-tv nova. I am having similar problems but am trying to use my card as a monitor source only for my main sat reciever. Success on xp/2000 nothing on suse(but close as it recognises card and momentarily flashes and the glimmer of all hope fades into despondency again)Still it's xmas soon and we'll soon (nrxt week be able to laugh at xmas things in the shops and people putting up xmas decs...Tee hee:newbie: )

I've never had much luck with the USB perfs (modems especially), then tend to be missing valuable components. Have you considered trying an internal card?

Hi again I 've been concentrating on suse 10 32 bit and have realised that my card did want to work with the drivers. So I re installed suse 10 and stayed with the Gnome way for its full cycle and it detected my card properly this time and loaded 3 drivers(3 programs)((It possibly detected the card 1st time around but with so much happening at the time of original install I thought it would be more automatic, however with suse you have complete control on every install almost all of the time and it will simply not load a program unless you agree it! Very different from M tm!!I reckon he is quaking in his boots.I have yet to configure the asdl connections to broadband via usb before I can go the full hog and dispense win98 for good.I now however have no need for xp!!Brilliant heh.Xmas has come early for me.:cool:

I have got Hauppauge Nova T USB 2, under Linux Mandrake 10.1, with kernel updated to both 2.6.13.2 and 2.6.17.7, using XOrg KDE 3.2 :

udev service first recognize my card and makes directories : /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0, frontend0, demux0, et net0 but juste after (I think when entering KDE level 5) udev scan again my plugs and disconnect my Nova T nodes
