Has anyone tested "Deja Dup", automatic backup system..?

I suspect you will find that most diehard Linux geeks default to rsync.
I've just been experimenting with it and I like it. There's a graphical frontend for it called "Back in Time" that I learned about here. |
Did you happen to find features in this package, that compares changes to files, and determines duplicates, and informs on dates and times of edits and views..?
_______________ With "rsync", isn't one's private data flowing around the Internet for anyone with smarts to copy and read it at will..? |
My understanding is that rsync encrypts data the same way ssh does, but I'm not an expert, just a user, and I'm just using it within my home network behind a firewall and a router.
This Wikipedia article discusses the encryption. I've found Wikipedia to be generally reliable for anything that is not overtly political. |
