hardware question
the other night at 1100 pm i turned off my computer. The next morning I turned it on at about 900 am. But, the clock
said 1130pm from the night before. I had just changed the battery in the motherboard, so, I know its probably not that. I tried out some other distro installations and i had a few strange things happen...like: Mandrake and red hat 7.1 each would not reboot on the command at the prompt, it would get to "now reboting the system" and the system would freeze... also, when i installed storm linux (debian i believe) there was a gui but no fonts anywhere! very wierd! Other than those things everything works fine... the gui is not crashing so i know nothing is probably wrong with the battery... any help would be greatly appreciated! |

im also getting a :
"saving time to hardware clock" on shutdown or reboot at startup: "getting hardware clock settings" |
