Unhappy Hardware Access

Could someone guide me as to how I can access the harware chips on my motherboard. I wnt to know what addresses to access. i want to make an overclocking utility for my Gigabyte GA7ZMMH motherboard. I some one knows about a similar utiliy wriiten by someone else please do let me know.
