harddisk test utility's?

Does anyone know some utility's to test a harddisk (ext3 filesystem). Im looking for a good stress test, badblock test, etc...

I'm assuming you already have checked And of course checked out the in depth features of hdparm?

If so, you can always use fsck to check for bad blocks.

the best ones come with the low level formatters for your hard drive brand.
some will let you test, and some only format and test. depends on your
hard drive brand.
