hi , i have an ubuntu 8.04 dually booted with xp. its been some mnths since i am trying ubuntu. its a pleasure to use and explore it.
But recently in my exploring , i did some changes in properties of one of my ntfs hard drives( thats SOFTWARE'S , drive E: in xp and is viewed as /dev/sda6 in partition manager in ubuntu)
Actually in settings in the 'volumes' tab i copied the mount point and file system as it was mentioned just over it and left the mounting options blank. Now after a restart i found that the mounting of that particular drive was not taking place. It gave the error as:
I understand its not a big thing but i need to know what happened and why.
Can anyone give a possible solution

I'm not sure I completely understand what you did but you may have inadvertently inserted a newline or other character when you copied the line.

so does this have any slution. i mean any modification in fstab or anything?
