Handling Links with Firefox, Thunderbird, and Gaim

I would like to open mailto: links in thunderbird and http: links in firefox. I'm running KDE, and I'm pretty sure there's a way to do this, but I'm not sure exactly what it is.

Incidentally, my Gaim no longer detects firefox. It had recognized a previous version of firefox in its "Default Browser", but now I have to choose the browser manually and type "mozilla-firefox %s". The problem with this, however, is that I want firefox to open the link in a new tab, regardless of whether of not I have firefox running; the manual option causes another instance of firefox to run, asking me to load a profile, which is essentially useless. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Check out the third post here by Skynet...

That worked for me. Course my paths were different, but as long as you substitute yours it'll work.
