HAL build problem

HAL 0.5.7 make stops with this error:

probe-input.c: In function 'main':
probe-input.c:146: error: storage size of 'id' isn't known
probe-input.c:146: warning: unused variable 'id'
probe-input.c: At top level:
shared.h:62: warning: 'drop_privileges' defined but not used
make[5] *** [probe-input.o] Error 1

I'm using Vector Linux SOHO 5.0.1, which is based on Slackware 10.1. I've got kernel -- though it was originally 2.4.29, and I believe it's the 2.4.29 headers HAL used.
