Hacking Mozilla
Hello all. Before using Linux I was of course using M$ and Internet Explorer. One of the nice features I liked with IE were the many shortcuts it had. Like alt-d would highlight the address bar and typing google and then pressing ctr-enter would add the www. and .com automatically.
I was wondering if there is a way to do this in Mozilla. I looked through the preferences but I couldn't find anything. Is there a way to edit the source code and add these shortcuts? |
Yes, there is an amazing amount of things possible with mozilla. But I'm no programmer, so I can't tell you how.

Just something for you to consider when helping out ;) Cool |
http://home.attbi.com/~brucec/writings/linux-hotkeys/ Something else to look at, it's a program to re-assign keys (though it might not work in moz).

Hmmm...Looks like there is no easy way to this. I guess I would have to edit the source and then recompile it. Well thats one hell of a task for something as silly as this. Thanks!
