Hacking Mozilla

Hello all. Before using Linux I was of course using M$ and Internet Explorer. One of the nice features I liked with IE were the many shortcuts it had. Like alt-d would highlight the address bar and typing google and then pressing ctr-enter would add the www. and .com automatically.

I was wondering if there is a way to do this in Mozilla. I looked through the preferences but I couldn't find anything. Is there a way to edit the source code and add these shortcuts?

Yes, there is an amazing amount of things possible with mozilla. But I'm no programmer, so I can't tell you how.

Does that help at all?

FYI, something as constructive as that can better be left said after there has been a helpful reply ;) When you reply to a 0 reply thread with something like that you kill the posters chances of being seen by many people by at least half. A search for 0 replies now does not produce their thread.

Just something for you to consider when helping out ;)

Cool

http://home.attbi.com/~brucec/writings/linux-hotkeys/ Something else to look at, it's a program to re-assign keys (though it might not work in moz).

Cool

Hmmm...Looks like there is no easy way to this. I guess I would have to edit the source and then recompile it. Well thats one hell of a task for something as silly as this. Thanks!
