Anyone else finding they can't connect to Yahoo with Gyache any more? It's the stand out Yahoo client for Linux (none of the others have the same functionality) but when you log in now it just logs you straight back out.
Have Yahoo changed the logon protocol again any know?
Also, is Gyachi dead now? There seems to to be no activity on the mailing lists any more, sadly.
Apparently it is up to 1.2.2 now, which version do you have? From discussions on their forums, it seems that others are having the same issue. Have you tried using Pidgin? That seems to work fine.
I have found that I can log on by using this server on logon:
cn.scs.msg.yahoo.com
Don't know why that should allow it.
Pidgin does, indeed, allow me to log on, but the emoticons are really poor, Gyachi really does them very well and allows picture sharing which I like doing with one of my other photography friends sometimes.
Gyachi does have activity on its forum, I was looking at the wrong one originally.
I must confess, I didn't know you could. The Gyachi ones are almost exactly the same as the Yahoo ones. The Yahoo ones are easily the best of all the messengers. A friend and I are often in fits of laughter at the emoticons when we chat.
