gxine segmentation fault

I'm using gxine and It's been working perfectly for untill about a week ago and now whenever I try to view a video in fullscreen it crashes due to a segmentation fault. How do I fix this?

Does this happen with all movies?
Did you change anything X11/video/driver related?
Did you down/upgrade/deinstall anything Gxine depends on?
Does it show any other errors before crashing?

I'm getting the same behavior. Any help appreciated

Does this happen with all movies?
yes

Did you change anything X11/video/driver related?
no, it has been happening since the install.

Did you down/upgrade/deinstall anything Gxine depends on?
no.
Does it show any other errors before crashing?
no, but when it starts up it goes:

# gxine
server: trying to connect to already running instance of gxine (/root/.gxine/socket)...
connect: Connection refused
server: socket '/root/.gxine/socket' created
mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding
audio driver arts failed

Murray, Looks like there might be soe pid file that didn't get deleted on a cold reboot or something like that.
Try deleting /var/run/gxine.pid if it exists also look at /root/.gxine/socket
