GVIM won't start!

Hello,

I recently ran into this problem. When I su and try to edit a file with VIM in GUI mode from xterm I get the follow:

Code:
# gvim
Xlib: connection to ":O.O" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

E233: cannot open displayXlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

Hit ENTER or type command to continue
Then it proceeds to VIM in text mode.

Any ideas on what caused this or how to fix it. I use this command alot so I would like to correct the problem.

I have issued the command ' xhost + ' as the default user to allow others access to X display 0.0. VIM will downgrade to text mode if no X is avalable.

'xhost +' is not secure, use gksudo/gksu.

Installed gksu and love it. Better than enableing and disabling host.
Thanks Ygrex
